Shot on the F100 with film which did funny things during development. I have a feeling it was mis labeled as it sure looks like 3200 to me. Self development results are sometimes very surprising.

Back from the MAC at PYC
At the end of July the Pentwater Yacht Club allows boats returning from Mackinaw to dock overnight - all stacked up. I shot this the day after the "Back from the Mac" PYC party of the night before.
Shot on the Rollei 6008i - I'm loving the rendering this camera is providing. Self developed and scanned.
NO WAKE
The South Pier of Pentwater at about 7am - end of July. Rollei 6008i and self developed and scanned.
Pentwater South Pier
the Bulldogs
Shot in April on the Rollei 6008i before I sent it in for repair. It arrives home on Wednesday; I can't wait -- but I digress. These two dogs are sisters -- Lola and Penelope. We have the Lola and she's a barrel of fun, and Penelope is with my sister in-law.
Developed and scanned in-house.
a Favorite
Shot on a warmish spring day in downtown SLC - on film of course. The Sun adds the drama to the scene.
The non-interesting becomes interesting.
This is from my Rollei 6008i - a mid 1990's medium format 120 film camera. I love it and this image shows what it rendered. I recognized the great window light and the scene of the recently washed dishes. I know right -- but, for me at least, the captured image I cannot stop looking at. The grays, blacks, and whites have perfect tones - and the film does it all justice.
Home developed and scanned on a Nikon LS-8000.
Back Alley
I take the camera with me everywhere. And it's nice my Wife is understanding and keeps a good attitude as it usually means an extra piece of luggage or bag I have to carry. This day was like no other - I had the camera, and as I drove into the parking garage to the UPS Store - this appeared.
Shot on the Nikon F100 with Ilford HP5+.
Dress Form on Film
An ornamental steel wire dress form transformed by my wife into a living outside ornament. The lower half is stuffed with dirt and the frame is with flowers to bloom throughout the Summer.
It's really quite nice when it all comes together.
Rolleiflex 6008 - with Fuji film - developed with Arista Liquid Color home kit.
Scanned on a Nikon 6008 at 4000 dpi.

Leica M6
Last August a friend let me borrow his Leica M6 - it was wonderful.
SBux on State
Taken at the Starbucks on State Street; it is one of my favorites. It was a grab shot while waiting in line for service.
I was so hoping she wouldn’t look up - and she didn’t.
It matches the frame of medium format film perfectly.
No crop - Kodak Portra 400.

Yellowstone in Color
One of my favorites from this last summer - shot on some expired Fuji RPH400, in the Rollei 6008i

Dinner with the Woods
This was an unpredictable roll -- some frames just didn't turn out well. The advantage of the hybrid / digital workflow offers powerful corrective actions in post. I have no idea how that was completed to satisfaction back in the day.

JSMB - SLC
This is the back side of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building - historically known as Hotel Utah.
This was restored and remodeled, by the LDS Church in the 1980's to become an administration type building.
FFKR Architect's was hired for the original remodel and has since been involved in ongoing modifications.

SLC - Capitol
Shot at the South entrance steps of the SLC Capitol - with the F100 on HP5. As with all of my images - no crop.
Timeless without the Cars
Here's Lola again - with my wife Madeline. When Lola was around 10lbs.
I love this image - combined with the look of film this brings me to a "Madmen" type scene -- with the hat and film base it looks like something from the fabulous 1950's.
No lies here -- I don't know how fabulous the 50's really were as I wasn't born yet -- but I can't get over the nostalgia this image brings. Too bad the cars are in the background - else it would have been timeless.
This is Kodak's Portra 400. For its skin tone rendering - it has no peer.
Self developed with a C-41 Tetenal Kit - no crop.
